All-star slacking

Posted By on Thu, Apr 17, 2008 at 4:40 PM

I've had to be away to participate in the ceremony for the Arkansas Times' Academic All-Star Team. Check out the winners if you haven't already. Average gradepoint about 4.2 along with a roster of breathtaking academic and extracurricular achievements. Everybody's favorite was Rudy Martinez who arrived in Arkansas eight years ago unable to speak English and is now top-ranked in Berryville High Schools' senior class. Look for his encouraging words about the American dream in a vignette filmed by AETN. It will be airing soon.

Good things are happening in Arkansas schools.

Agree, disagree or choose a topic of your own. I have another obligation this evening.
