High-speed rail

Posted By on Fri, Apr 18, 2008 at 9:31 AM

One of the highlights of my Asian trip was a short hop on the Shinkansen, the 180-mph Japanese bullet train (pictured), between Kyoto and Kobe. Slick.

So I can at least appreciate the dreaming about a high-speed rail corridor in Texas that now officially includes Arkansas officials working to push the link north through Texarkana to Little Rock.

I confess pessimism, but dream on rail buffs. Thanks to Rep. Steve Harrelson for the link.
