Grassroots sampling UPDATE

Posted By on Sat, Apr 26, 2008 at 7:34 AM

Brummett visits the mythical Bubba McCoy for a sounding on the presidential race. Bubba's no racist, you understand, but Obama? Well ... McCain's too old. He doesn't like Hillary, but ....

Funny thing. An LA Times reporter traveling with McCain yesterday interviewed two real people -- Little Rock diners at Whole Hog. One was an independent and one a Republican. One mentioned McCain's age as a negative. Both mentioned his open-ended commitment in Iraq as a negative. The Republican said he was considering Obama.

And stop the presses: The NYT has discovered that Republicans think Obama has many liabilities to exploit.

UPDATE: At this point, it's not likely to happen. Campaign is too far gone. But I like Hillary Clinton's proposal for a debate with Barack Obama without a moderator.
