Lottery signature jackpot

Posted By on Tue, May 13, 2008 at 9:09 AM

Today's lottery media event later this morning at the Capitol:

A Pulaski Tech student (remember, the proceeds would be for college scholarships) today will sign, symbolically, as signature No. 77,468 on the lottery petitions. That's the number necessary to qualify the state lottery amendment for the ballot. Signature-gathering will continue, up to 100,000 or so, in advance of the July 7 deadline to provide a cushion for signatures ruled ineligible.

When I hit the Powerball for $100 million or so, at the top of my list, after a new roof and a house painting, will be a few select self-funded initiative campaigns of my own.
