Riverfest in a rut

Argenta News laments damage done to North Little Rock's riverfront park by its use as a primary Riverfest festival area and suggests a relocation to paved space a bit down river. But he wonders if deals between the mayor and riverside businesses might prevent this.

ADDENDUM: A Riverfest volunteer assures that the park will be patched, as it always must be after the work of hauling in stage and other equipment. He says, too, that asphalted area to the east is too small for the main stage and that festival goers don't like to sit on asphalt. So there.
