The signature campaigns

In a roundup on various efforts to put initiated acts on the ballot, Stephens Media reports that the drive will be close on the anti-gay measure that would make foster parenting and adoption harder for all in Arkansas. I hope they make the ballot. It will be expensive and emotional, but a defeat of this mean-spirited effort to coalesce electoral politics around the bloody shirt of homophobia would be a signal victory in the war for tolerance.
