UALR: smokes on way out?

Posted By on Wed, Jul 16, 2008 at 1:34 PM

I can't find a link, but I heard a bit of a KUAR story on the topic and called for a little followup. The UA campus at Fayetteville has gone smoke-free, but, so far, not UALR. The faculty, staff and student senates have endorsed going smoke free (but allowing smokeless -- yuk). Chancellor Joel Anderson is considering the recommendations for a final ruling. He'll meet -- separately with smokers and non-smokers -- to discuss the issue tomorrow. You know our preference.
