The celebrity candidate

Brummett comments on the Britney-Spearing of Barack Obama. Problem is: it's sure enough happening. And there's not a great counter-strategy apart from mass brain implants for voters susceptible to Republican attack politics.

NOTED TODAY: Obama doesn't intend to get whipped on the issue that seems to be the only thing Republicans have working -- more oil drilling. He's with Pryor and Lincoln and expanding offshore drilling. It'll do nothing for gas prices, but that doesn't matter. Repubs seem to have convinced voters that it will.
