Monday open line

Posted By on Mon, Aug 11, 2008 at 7:08 PM

It's here.

But I thought I'd mention in passing:

The Republican Party is throwing a campaign fund-raiser tonight styled as a "Welcome Home Mike Huckabee Party." It was preceded by a high-dollar reception at Lisenne Rockefeller's home on HIll Road.

My evening walk happened to take me by the front gates at party time. When I strolled by, there were perhaps 12 to 15 cars parked along the curb in front of the home. At that time, a grand total of one bore a McCain bumper sticker, not including the Mercedes Benz with the state Senate 7 license plate.

Better still, those "W: The President" stickers are no longer to be found.

I can direct any Republicans who are interested to some "F: The President" stickers.
