Warning: We're under attack

Posted By on Fri, Aug 22, 2008 at 10:50 AM

I check in periodically on Mike Huckabee's PAC and today grazed through his endorsements of various Republicans running for Arkansas legislature. It's mostly cookie cutter stuff. But the plug for Davy Carter of Cabot, running for House District 48, seemed worthy of sharing since, well, who knew?

Davy believes that the American family is under attack. It is under attack by a small number of Americans that have attempted to make it politically incorrect to love your wife, to love God, to pray in school, to believe that marriage is between one man and one woman, and to protect the lives of unborn babies. Davy pledges to support the American family.

Was his primary race, finally, the race in which Randy Minton was the cooler head? Nah, can't be.

The Little Rock City Board agenda for its last meeting of the year Tuesday includes, as expected, a vote on an ordinance that will significantly sweeten retiring Mayor Mark Stodola's retirement and apply to future mayors as well. The agenda, however, carries no mention of resolution of his claim for an estimated $173,000 in pay for unused vacation and leave time.
