The GOP talk machine

Posted By on Sun, Aug 24, 2008 at 7:14 AM

Overnight I received a statement from Arkansas Republican Chair Dennis "What we need is another 9/11" Milligan re Joe Biden's selection:

"There are few people that Barack Obama could have chosen who would be as out of touch with Arkansans as he is, but he managed to choose one such person in Joe Biden.   Obama has proven yet again that his inexperience and lack of connection with Arkansas values makes him a dangerous choice for the White House.   I am confident that Arkansans will quickly recognize the stark differences between their values and hopes for our next Commander-in-Chief and what an Obama/Biden Presidency would mean for our country.   We must all ask ourselves, 'is Barack Obama ready to lead'?"

  • Another Republican miracle-working governor

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
