God and men at Saddleback

Brummett joins others in giving John McCain the advantage in his meeting with Barack Obama at the Saddleback Church. They were in a binary setting, no Democratic shades of gray tolerated.

Also today: Krugman cheers Obama for getting tough, particularly vis a vis John McCain's version of the "American dream." In McCain's case it was ditching a disabled wife for a younger, unimaginably rich new model (whose family made its money the old-fashioned way, on alcohol and thuggery.)
