Echoes of the Nebo chicken fry

The farm catfish lobby and an alliance that promotes Southern food is putting on a catfish fry in conjunction with the presidential debate Sept. 26 in Oxford, Miss.

There's an Arkansas angle. Capital Hotel chef Lee Richardson will be one of the celebrity cooks, serving his rice-crusted catfish. I've had it. It's good. But I'm also mighty partial to the thin catfish strips that will be served by Middendorf's of Manchac, La.
