A vote for casinos

Speaking of Ernest Dumas, he also offers in the Arkansas Leader an explanation for why a vote for a state lottery is a vote for legal casinos. But he adds that the court should strike the lottery amendment from the ballot.

Great minds. I've posted a column today making some of the same points. I'm of a mind that the backdoor support this amendment could offer for legislatively legalized casinos explains the curious silence of racino operators in Arkansas and national casino operators to the possibility that the field could be clear for legislative expansion of all gambling. And, hell, why not? Despite the name, those aren't games of skill underway at Southland and Oaklawn now.
