Tis the season

The Arkansas Community Foundation has raised $85,000 toward a goal of $200,000 for a matching campaign to help agencies that fight hunger. This year, more than ever, it's a worthy Christmas cause.

Just go to the Foundation website and make a pledge with a credit card. ACF will contribute a dollar for every $2 donated. If the goal is reached, $300,000 will go to feed hungry people.

An urban planner in Dallas says freeways are not always the answer. Incorporating some creativity already being used in Dallas and looking at the Interstate 30 project from a broader perspective, here are ideas that Arkansas highway planners have not considered. But should.
