The last acceptable bigotry

From an article in today's NY Times about Obama-era White House interior design (emphasis supplied):

The Kennedy White House was too French; the Clintons’, too Arkansas. In recent history, only the Waspy Bushes (both 41 and 43) have escaped decorating derision.
