Suckers at the track

Roby Brock says the total wagering on the gambling machines at Oaklawn and Southland Parks has reached almost $1 billion in two years. Sucker bets.Bettors fed $957 million into the coin slots of the gambling machines. They've gotten back $917 million (less whatever they spent on drinks, corned beef, peanuts, etc.) That is, they've lost at least $40 million. The house and the tax man shared the difference.
