Scott Miller's NLR Daily News notes that NLR Mayor Pat Hays is doubling the city's cost of running his submarine fleet.

An alderman suggests a better budget review process. Yes, good idea. Also a good idea would be an open application process for seats on city boards and commissions, such as LR uses. Boss Hays isn't likely to approve.
