Justice reprimanded

Arkansas Supreme Court Justice Jim Gunter (photo) has agreed to a letter of reprimand from the state Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission for a physical confrontation with his sister that prompted a police report. Gunter also issued a public apology for his behavior.

The letter and his apology are all here. (The link includes a letter of reprimand to Judge Edwin Keaton of Camden for delays in handling cases.)

This is believed to be the first letter of reprimand issued against a sitting Supreme Court justice. Here's some previous coverage.
