Franken alert

Posted By on Mon, Jan 26, 2009 at 2:21 PM

I may be in the tiny minority very interested in the outcome of Republican Norm Coleman's court effort to overturn the will of Minnesota voters to elect Al Franken, by a whisker, as U.S. senator.

But, if you're with me, you can get a live feed of the court hearing, now underway, at fivethirtyeight.com

Franken's lawyer, Kevin  Hamilton, gave a clear and concise opening statement that made the clear point: Coleman has to have convincing proof of error in the laborious recount by a nonpartisan group. He has offered only conjecture.
