The superior sex

Posted By on Tue, Feb 3, 2009 at 6:53 AM

Nate Silver makes the case that the four most powerful women in politics are the four Republican senators who've shown a willingness to join the Obama administration rather than simply goosestep along with the party talking points. (As in John Boozman parroting the line that spending is not stimulus. What the **** is it, if not stimulus? And, by the way, a new analysis shows most of the money will hit the economy within two years.)

I've had hopes of similar independence from Arkansas Republican women in the legislature, but, to date, it hasn't been much in evidence. They mostly trot out the usual tired script.
