A check with Scott Miller's North Little Rock Daily News invariably turns up some news of interest on the north shore.

Like his report that the city isn't complying with its own dumpster ordinance.

And like the item that the city is emulating its big brother across the river by engaging a Washington lobbyist -- James Lee Witt Associates -- for a monthly retainer worth $75,000 a year.
