About the housing market

Posted By on Tue, Feb 10, 2009 at 9:40 AM

Here's a December and year-end report on Arkansas housing sales. Grim. Sales, total value and average prices all down, naturally.

Looking for a bright spot: It could be that a decline statewide in average price from year to year of just under 2 percent amounts to a pretty good showing against the national market.

It certainly would be viewed as a godsend in Florida and Southern California and Las Vegas, to name three places suffering from an implosion of overheated markets.
