Pipeline bill beaten

Posted By on Wed, Feb 11, 2009 at 1:03 PM

That bill to give property owners a little more protection against eminent domain powers that gas producers enjoy even on the lines that feed interstate pipelines failed in committee today. It drew six do-pass votes, needing 11.

Gerard Matthews will have more details later today on the Shale Watch blog.

A Republican reader notes that Democratic leadership went in the tank for gas companies on this bill. Duly noted.
