A Humane Society spokesman reports that justice was done today in Saline District Court in the case of two people accused of running a puppy mill whose resulting horrors included the blinding of the rescued Shih-Tzu, Timothy, who appeared on our cover a few weeks ago.

The owner of the mill got a year in jail, the maximum possible under existing law, and a fine of $1,110. A co-worker got 30 days in jail and a fine of $1,110. Both were hauled off to jail.
