Speaking of UAMS

Posted By on Thu, Feb 12, 2009 at 6:36 PM

Heard on the street tonight: The search to find a successor to the retiring Dodd Wilson as chancellor of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is about to reach the finalist stage. If my tipster is correct, there will NOT be an in-house candidate among the finalists.

AND FOR THE DOCS WHO COME HERE AFTER BUZZ GETS AROUND: An unrelated subject, but John Williams has coverage of legislation to prevent doctors from referring patients to MRI and other screening facilities in which they have a financial interest. So far, it's going nowhere, but the topic might be of interest.
