Over the top?

This editorial cartoon in the New York Post has caused a deluge of criticism. The question: Is it racist  or otherwise excessively offensive to draw a parallel between President Obama and a crazed (dead) chimpanzee?

Just parody, the editor says. Rush Limbaugh undoubtedly is on air with the defense. Ha ha.

It's also true that many made sport of the former president's physical resemblance to a chimp.

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
