House to the rescue

Posted By on Fri, Feb 20, 2009 at 8:59 AM

Reading between the lines, I'd predict that Rep. Steve Harrelson's Judiciary Committee will clean up the mess a craven Senate passed along to the House in passing Denny Altes' offensive bill to allow some people access to car accident records, but not others, including newspaper people who don't publish in an acceptable format.

This is aimed at ambulance chasers. Love 'em or hate 'em, their First Amendment rights alone should have prevailed. But they aren't the only victims of this bad bill.
