Starr's chamber

Posted By on Fri, Mar 20, 2009 at 1:35 PM

The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld a lower court's refusal to let Susan McDougal have copies of her Whitewater grand jury testimony for use in a proposed movie about her travails as a target of Special Persecutor Kenneth Starr.

How rich is this? One of the judges on the panel was district Judge Stephen Limbaugh of Missouri. He's Rush Limbaugh's cousin, son of the commentator's uncle, a retired federal judge.

The opinion does mention that there seems to have been an overbroad sealing of information related to her case, perhaps inadvertent. But it said McDougal had not met the standard set by law for release of grand jury testimony.
