What will NLR think of next?

I thought the North Little Rock Police Department's tireless devotion to trolling the Internet for international perverts a little strange. But it seems the essence of practical crime-fighting against their latest scheme, reported by Fox 16:

Buying a $78,000 toy helicopter to fly surveillance over Dogtown.

It requires four -- count 'em FOUR -- cops to run this little bugger and, for what, exactly? I'm thinking keeping those four cops on the streets as a visible presence in rough neighborhoods might be a better use of time and money than running a  flying peeping Tom cam. What do you think? (I know; they say it will be just used for special occasions. They say. But there's a ton of practice time required, too. And once you have a toy like this, the urge to play with it will be powerful.)
