Socialized milk

Posted By on Tue, Apr 21, 2009 at 7:11 AM

The state is about to begin making direct cash payments to subsidize dairy farmers. They're hurting, I know.

But where does this argument end? Family newspapers? Small produce farmers? (I know. Forget about the newspaper part.)

UPDATE: I take it back. Government money for milk producers makes perfect sense against this: A California city has voted to give $700,000 in public moneys to car dealers to pay for their advertising.
