Every picture tells a story

Great minds, etc.

Blake Rutherford has rolled out a new feature at his Blake's Think Tank blog. He calls it the View from My State. He's soliciting photos of the newsy, interesting, odd, beautiful and entertaining in Arkansas. His first image is above, taken on Main Street in Little Rock.

As coincidence would have it, the Times has been looking for similar photo contributions. We're running them periodically on the editorial page, in place of an editorial cartoon, under an Eye on Arkansas headline.

So keep your cameras and cell phones handy. And think of us both when you see something that just speaks Arkansas to you. Send them to Blake, or to me at maxbrantley@arktimes.com

Best so far has to be the elderly couple -- he driving lawn tractor, she in chair in utility wagon behind -- pulling through a Morrilton drive-through liquor store.
