Poultry worker wins $1 million verdict

A lawyer's news release says a worker at a Tyson Foods processing plant in Pine Bluff won a jury verdict of more than $1.3 million Friday against the manufacturer of a chicken "neckbreaker" machine that mangled her hand in a 2004 accident.

Tyson had earlier said it would want a portion of any award she won in the case as repayment of money it paid for her Workers Compensation claim.
