New name in UCA hat

Posted By on Fri, May 1, 2009 at 3:22 PM

A dark horse and evidently very strong candidate for the presidency of the University of Central Arkansas at Conway has emerged suddenly. The name of Dr. Allen C. Meadors, chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, had not previously appeared on the list of applicants, but he’s now scheduled to be on campus Monday and Tuesday, interviewing with the search committee and even making a campus-wide presentation. He’s a native of Van Buren and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UCA in 1969.
