Did you know? Arkansas law says you MUST grill chicken at least one night on a three-day holiday weekend. So I'm going to get legal tonight.

Over to you otherwise.

PS - Did I miss this earlier in the week? That a federal judge had denied a request to throw out the explosives charge against the Russellville doctor who collects grenade launchers and automatic weapons and has periodic trouble with the state Medical Board? Denied his speedy trial request he now naturally wants a delay in the case.

PPS -- Don't forget Rock Candy for all your Riverfest news.

  • Another Republican miracle-working governor

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
