Gerard Matthews is in Conway for the introduction of UCA’s new president, Dr. Allen Meadors. He’ll have a report later, but the session has begun. Fox 16’s David Goins reports that it began with an apology from Trustee Rush Harding for the months of embarassment that have dogged the campus.

Meadors, who spoke briefly, said a top priority would be filling several open executive positions. If mistakes are made, he promised they’d be quickly admitted and corrected. He said he wasn’t prepared to take questions yet on some past controversies because of a lack of knowledge.
