Why does Mike Ross hate poor people?

Posted By on Sat, Jul 25, 2009 at 6:28 AM

U.S., Rep. Mike Ross of Prescott was again front and center Friday in the fight to block President Obama's health care legislation. He'll take more money for health care providers, yes. But coverage for the uninsured? A participation by everyone, including businesses, in a solution to our international shame -- the richest country in the world chunks a quarter of its population on the dung heap when it comes to health care? No. He doesn't care if nothing passes because he knows there's no political downside, the health and business lobbies having so successfully poisoned public attitudes toward the Golden Rule.

For your study: More compassionate Democrats have compiled a document on the benefits of the House legislation to people who live in Mike Ross' district, including some 124,000 who could finally have health insurance. That sound you hear is Mike Ross blowing a raspberry at them.
