Rock Candy reports the death of legendary Arkansas rocker Billy Lee Riley, who died Sunday in Jonesboro at the age of 75.

One of Riley's last gigs was a brief appearance, shown above, at a bill signing for creation of the Rock 'n' Roll Highway 67. A memorial benefit concert is set for 1 p.m. Sunday, August 30, for Riley at a famous joint on that highway, the Silver Moon in Newport.

The erosion of his electoral coalition has spread to The Natural State, extending far beyond the college towns and urban centers that voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. From El Dorado to Sherwood, Fayetteville to Hot Springs, the president's approval rating is waning.
