'We were a half a million strong'

Woodstock. It was 40 years ago next week. I can't claim to have been among the 10 million or so who now say they were there. (Does it count that I was in Wilmington, Del., visiting a friend whose brother WAS there?) Anniversary coverage is well underway and, since it's a slow day:

Aging hipsters remember their favorite moments in this NY Times video. And the paper has rounded up reader photos here. From the movies, documentaries, albums, I'm still drawn back to Richie Havens ("Freedom") and Joan Baez ("Joe Hill").
