Talk Business Quarterly poll numbers. Strong approval numbers for Gov. Mike Beebe, 78 percent. Not so strong -- 49 percent, with 10 percent "don't know" -- for U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln. Only about a quarter of respondents would say they'd vote for Lincoln no matter who emerged as her opponent, though I'm not sure that's a question with a great deal of meaning beyond committed base support.

I think it's time to poll Hendren-Coleman-Baker in the Republican primary and then Baker-Lincoln in the general.

Because I think that's what's going to happen (with the exception that some other lesser Repubs may clutter up that primary). Write it down. Aug. 12, 2009.
