How slow is it today? Slow enough to talk about the weather. Got this lovely item from the Channel 7 weather blog.

Bobby Powers had a low last night in Benton of 55.6 degrees.  I think it’s possible to do it again next week, maybe even cooler.

The models are coming together with a blast of cool air again Sunday into Monday of next week.  Another strong area of Canadian high pressure looks to make a move south.  The 12Z European model is jumping on the idea and so is the GFS.  As a matter of fact, the GFS is showing a high next Monday of 83 and a low of 61.  Since these numbers are in the long term, the model tries to trend towards climatology.  This means there’s a chance these numbers will be too warm.  There’s the chance we’ll have highs in the 70s and lows well into the 50s.  I don’t want everyone to get the impression this is a done deal, but it’s looking good at this point.

Bring on the 12Z and the GFS.
