Snyder takes health questions

Posted By on Thu, Aug 27, 2009 at 3:45 PM

Various news outlets are providing Twitter updates of U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder's town hall meeting at UCA. He got one enthusiastic "yes" and a smattering of applause when he asked how many would be willing to give up Medicare.

Snyder continues to dis a public option and this crowd apparently includes some who favor a government alternative to health insurance. Channel 4 said security gathered when one man began shouting he was not being listened to. Snyder also reportedly said: "When I hear you call reform socialism I just don't get it."
