Hope in real estate?

Posted By on Thu, Sep 10, 2009 at 10:15 AM

Here's the summary of July home sales in Arkansas. Total sales were up slightly statewide compared with the same month a year ago. That's better than the double-digit decline shown for the year. Average prices were off slightly.

Local note: Strong increase month-to-month in Pulaski County home sales.

An analysis will be posted later on the Arkansas Realtors blog.

PS -- Perhaps I should be more excited. Roby Brock says this is the first monthly increase in 42 months.

  • Another Republican miracle-working governor

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
