LR school enrollment up

Posted By on Fri, Sep 11, 2009 at 6:39 AM

The enrollment number isn't official until October and the increase is tiny, but nonetheless preliminary numbers show enrollment in the Little Rock School District up by 59 students over last year, when enrollment took a tumble.

The overall racial percentage dropped from 69 to 68 percent black. Small drops, about 40 each, in enrollments of both black and white students were offset by an increase in "other" types of students in the 26,000-student district.
