GOP's favorite sons

NY Times reporting Sunday on some dissension in Republican ranks because Washington Repubs, such as the powerful National Republican Senatorial Committee, are picking favorites in 2010 races with contested primaries. No Arkansas names mentioned. But it wouldn't surprise me to find a few with such feelings in Arkansas. If Sen. Gilbert Baker has the big money month most expect in September, he'll owe some of it to national help.

    Word continues to filter in of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's pullback from statewide circulation of a print daily edition of the newspaper — the latest from the Hot Springs area, just 50 or so miles down the road from Little Rock. Subscribers there were told home delivery of a print paper would end in May.
