Blue Cross wins TWICE

Posted By on Tue, Sep 29, 2009 at 2:03 PM

As expected, the Senate Finance Committee defeated Sen. Jay Rockefeller's public option health coverage idea, 8-15. Five Democrats, including Sen. Blanche Lincoln, joined with Republicans to put the kibosh on it. Thank God somebody is looking out for insurance executives.

UPDATE: Sen. Chuck Schumer's watered-down public option picked up a couple of Democrats -- NOT Blanche Lincoln, naturally -- and failed 10-13.
