Soldier shooting suspect in court

Posted By on Fri, Nov 13, 2009 at 8:31 AM

Abdulhakim Muhammad, 24, charged with shooting one solider and wounding another in a June 1 shooting at the Little Rock military station, appeared in circut court this morning to seek a delay in his Feb. 15 capital murder trial. He also faces 16 counts of engaging in a terrorist act. He has given multiple statements saying political and religious reasons motivated his act.

Judge Herb Wright granted a delay until June 7 so the defense could have more time for preparation. Muhammad didn't speak.
