Here’s the Arkansas Realtors monthly housing sales report and it contains good news. Home sales were up almost 10 percent in September compared with the same month in 2008. It was only the second month in the last 44 with a year-to-year increase. Prices continue to edge downard (not up as I wrote originally.)

UPDATE: Fayetteville blog has a good item on flip-flopping by Rep. John Boozman on the home buyer’s tax credit that has helped home sales. He was against this socialized real estate before he was for it.
