Teabaggers on the march

Posted By on Mon, Dec 7, 2009 at 9:59 AM

A new poll finds the Tea Party movement is more popular than the Republican Party on a generic congressional ballot question.

Such polling helps explain the exuberance of 'bagger Tom Cox, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Arkansas, who pronounced himself satisfied with the 4 percent he got in straw voting Saturday at a Republican meeting in Hot Springs. He said he knows he has work to do, but said his participation "continued to validate" that he is a "legitimate and viable" candidate for Senate.

The national poll suggests Cox should run on a third-party ticket. In fact, I think a national third-party effort by the 'baggers would be a dandy idea.
