Financial advisor fined

Posted By on Tue, Dec 8, 2009 at 2:40 PM

Steve Kiefer, who offers financial advice on radio and TV, agreed to a $50,000 fine and a 14-day suspension to end an Arkansas Securities Department investigation into alleged fraudulent sales practices.

Kiefer's attorney said there had been no customer complaints about Kiefer, who allegedly steered older customers into mutual funds with higher fees. Maybe when they read about sales practices ....

UPDATE: Kiefer is on the Elswick show this afternoon, claiming he's s political victim as a Tea Party activist and critic of President Obama. Hmmmm.
